"PÒRTIC"
EDUARD BATLLE

D’entre tantes portes que es presenten
només una n’obriràs
i, com bé saps,
ets obligat a triar
tant si ets savi
com si ets llec.

I tot just l’hagis oberta,
siguis més anllà del llindar,
-has de saber-ho-
te’n penediràs i voldràs tornar enrere.

Recorda llavors no fer-t’hi sang:
és condició humana viure el futur
pendent de la memòria.

"EN EL FEU DE L'ERMITATGE"
MIQUEL BAUÇÀ

Què m’apressa, o què m’acuita...?
Cau la pluja i m’abelleix
de guaitar-la des del porxo...
assegut al balancí.
L’egua eguina complaguda,
car somnia sempre en mi,
dins l’estable, amb palla seca.
Quan amaini, sortirem
al galop per l’altra arbreda
i un bell arc de Sant Martí
ens farà com de garlanda
més enllà del comellar.
De tornada, dins la clastra
ballarem el ball dels astres...

"SHE WOULD LOOK FOR ME"
OKKERVIL RIVER

All the girls around me said you were gonna be there
Seattle moonlight motel, a rattlesnake the evening
I smelled it in the wind, I can taste it in a cocktail

She'll call me, I know she will look for me

All the air that drowned me, it said a little secret
A sunken giant sleeps off the coast of California
Go down the blue ravine where the way is steep and broken

She'll call me, I know she will look for me
And they say that it doesn't look good
They say that it doesn't look good for me

Like if I were a knight I'd hallucinate a movie
My CineColor baby, the lace sticks to your body
Battlefields of death fought for palaces of money
The song had my heart racing, the wine got my head heavy
My sword became so bloody, I don't know what I've done

Would you see me my love, would you wait for me?
Would you stand by the high prison gate for me?
Well they tell me it doesn't look great
And they say that it doesn't look great for me

Like a breath of fall on your weekend, I'm high
I said "you know it's great to be worth it or to fall behind
Washed away
Washed away
Washed away"

Oh, the breath escapes me, I'm shaking like a lost thing
Invaded by your face, overtaken by a feeling
I saw the sky, it's spinning, I heard the branches snapping

She'll call me, I know she would look for me
And they say that it doesn't look good
Well they say that it doesn't look good for me.

"OKKERVIL RIVER R.I.P."
OKKERVIL RIVER

 Hey, my little baby
Pointing at the sky's amazing
In the lake now
All of this sensation
And no space on earth to place it
Where it's safe now
You've got a big day coming
A big day coming now

Gather, crowd, around me
In the gutter where you found me
Help me stand now
My body, it is aching
And my poor old heart is breaking
And I'm so freaked out
We've got a big chance coming
A big chance coming now

All the little Sadies
And the literary ladies
Wish me well now
A slab upon a plane that
Through the air is silver swaying
Into sun now
I hightail my cool haircut
Through the turnstiles of the airport
On the run now
Flip a couple hundred pages
I was turning thirty-eight
I was a horrible sight
You've got a bad day coming
A sad day coming 'round
I'll wear a white suit and black sunglasses
To the last mass now
Okay

Then give me one last kiss
In your pink silk dress, I guess
Said, "I have lost all will to"
With my face pressed against your breast
And I have pilfered the king's pills
From the palace medicine chest
I cried a quart of crocodile tears
Onto Allison Anne's pink champagne glass
I was escorted from the premises
For being a mess

And it's just like when John Howe told me
How the Force MDs died
Lou Gehrig's disease laid T.C.D. low
Mercury had a heart attack back in '95
And where DJ Doctor Rock went
Nobody knows
I see my grandfather, T. Holmes
"Bud" Moore laid up in his hospital clothes
But I think about Judee Sill dying in some trailer park
Out of cocaine and codeine all alone
It was a big waste
Brother, such a big waste
Yeah, I know
They had some great songs
Must have been a great time
So long ago
But I didn't open up my mouth
Just to piss and moan
No way

All the air is glitter
And I went and hit the
Skating rink alone now
I'll watch the kids all skim across the ice
They look so nice
It was so cold out
And then I coughed into my cupped hands
Across the rink so I could hear the band
Two guitars, a drummer
A chick singer with a Kurzweil
On a keyboard stand
And I said, "Play that cover"
I said, "Play that cover song again"
"LA TORRE MÉS ALTA"
XAVIER BARÓ

 Joventut ociosa
feta esclavitud,
per delicadesa
la vida he perdut.
Ai, què dies vinguin
que els cors enamorin.

Que vingui, que vingui
el temps que ens enamori.

He set tan pacient
que mai he oblidat.
Pors i sofriments
als cels han marxat.
I la set malsana
m'enfosquí les venes.

Que vingui, que vingui
el temps que ens enamori.

Tal com està el prat
a l'oblit lliurat,
crescut i florit
d'encens i ebrietat.
I els brunzits ferotges
de cent brutes mosques.

Que vingui, que vingui
el temps que ens enamori.
"EL COR AJUSTICIAT"
XAVIER BARÓ

El meu trist cor baveja a popa,
mon cor és tot ple de tabac;
ells li llancen xapels de sopa.
El meu trist cor baveja a popa,
sota les burles de la tropa
que alcen un riure general.
El meu trist cor baveja a popa,
mon cor és tot ple de tabac.

Ninots grollers, fàl·lics, i ultratges;
els seus insults l'han depravat.
Al vespre, ells li fan més greuges,
ninots grollers, fàl·lics, i ultratges.
Onades abracadabrantesques,
preneu mon cor, feu-li un rentat.
Ninots grollers, fàl·lics, i ultratges.
Els seus insults l'han depravat.

Quan ells hauran finit les burles,
com puc seguir, oh cor robat?
I cantaran brutes tonades,
quan ells hauran finit les burles.
Jo tindré arcades nauseabundes
si el meu trist cor és ultratjat.
Quan ells hauran finit les burles,
com puc seguir, oh cor robat?

"SNOW CAMPING"
LAURA VEIRS

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDyQ-bdnTE4

I saw the violet turn to night
I saw the water turn to ice
A thousand snowflakes hovered ‘round me
The world aglow

I heard a distant songbird singing
A song the words i used to know
And as the melody went ringing
I felt my bones on the rocks below
The weighted trees of my only home

With brother sleeping right beside me
The blankets pulled up to his chin
The makeshift snow cave settled slightly
But held us in and sheltered us
Like mom and dad, they always helped us
